General Manager
Pierre Lacey
Coach Lacey is native of the Stafford area , he attended his freshman year at Brook Point High School. However, finished his high school career at Bishop O’Connell High School. He received a full scholarship to play at Davis and Elkins College and holds all-time records in steals and assists. After graduating from college in 2006 with a B.S in Marketing, he went on to attend Wharton School of Business with a focus on Strategy and Leadership. Coach Lacey founded New Generation Sports in 2016, an AAU program serving the Stafford/Fredericksburg community. He is currently the assistant varsity coach at Mt. View High School in Stafford County.
Head Trainer
Coach Tre Ford
Coach Tre is the Owner of Family over Fame, one of the top AAU programs in the DC area. Coach Tre is currently the Head Coach at Thomas Edison High School in Alexandria, Va. Coach Tre is also the Director of Arlington PYBL Team. He was a four year starting point guard at Virginia Wesleyan and played professionally overseas in Spain.

Antuan Scott
Is a United States Army Veteran who grew up in the Fredericksburg area. He graduated from Chancellor High School where he played varsity basketball. While in the Army he continued to play basketball and further his education graduating from George Mason
University. He is a director for a renewable energy lobby firm in DC. Coach Scott has been with
New Generation from its inception, coaching 10 to 15 years old. He lives in the Stafford area with his
wife and 2 kids.
10U Coach
Chapman Canaday
As a Basketball development Coach, he has worked with many high school and college-level players on basketball development and skills training. Chapmen earned a full athletic scholarship to the University of Wilmington (DE) and completed his college basketball career at Marymount University. He earned his bachelor’s degree in Liberal Studies from Marymount University and a Master of Special Education from Grand Canyon University. He is currently studying Educational Leadership at Liberty University in pursuit of earning his Doctorates. His coaching philosophy is very simple and that for all the players to, “play hard, play smart, and play together.”
Performance & Strength Coach/Trainer
Deonté Samuel
Personal Trainer with 3 years of experience and versatility in multiple training modalities. Ex-athlete turned trainer-therapist and coach after incurring a debilitating knee injury that removed Samuel from a serious play over 5 years. He has worked with a wide range of clients with goals varying from injury prevention, post surgical rehab, weight loss and strength building to improved mechanics & performance.
